ABOUT SMA

The San Marcos Association is a non-profit community service organization. The goals of the organization are: to protect the rural, residential character of the area; to monitor development to see that it is consistant with that character and with applicable plans and ordinances of Santa Fe County; and to represent property owners/residents of the area in matters of public service, utilities and the general welfare of people.

Membership in the Association is open to all property owners/residents of the area. At this time membership is $20 per person and $30 per household, and new members are welcome. Meetings of the membership are held annually in February. There are regular Board of Directors meetings, and at many of these meetings issues of interest to the membership are presented and general attendance is encouraged. The site will hold schedules of all meetings, a list of issues under observation, details of the Association's actions and any information deemed to be of interest.
